Wendy, a community health worker, was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Her family is originally from El Salvador, and Wendy takes pride in being fluent in both Spanish and English. Recently she worked at Fatima Hospital as a Mental Health Worker and completed an internship with Tides Family Service. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science through the University of Phoenix. She has also completed two certification programs in human resources, as well as the Community Health Worker certification program at Rhode Island College. As a certified community health worker, Wendy’s goals are to serve those in need and to provide the proper services to families in our community.
