RI House Committee to Hold Hearing on RI Equity Zone Act

Supporters Can Testify in Support of the Legislation  The Rhode Island House Health & Human Services Committee is scheduled to hear testimony on House Bill 5849, the Rhode Island Equity Zone Act, on Thursday, March 27 at the Rise of the House, typically around 4:30 pm, in the House Lounge. The ceremony drew out over 80 attendees on a beautiful sunny day to celebrate the revitalization of the long vacant and environmentally blighted property adjacent to the East Bay Bike Path known as the “old Vamco site.” The development brings 16 new, affordable rental apartments for extremely low- to moderate-income households to the Riverside community.
