Eric Watne

Eric is an Associate Director of Housing Development, having worked many years in the affordable housing space as a project manager for Rhode Island Housing, Director of Project Finance for a developer of affordable housing in Boston, project manager for a building contractor in Newport, and as community development manager at Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C. Recently, he has consulted for several non- and for-profit affordable housing developments in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Eric has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Washington and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. Besides his passion for community development, Eric is president of the Rhode Island Christmas Tree Growers Association, past president of the Tiverton Land Trust, as well as captain and director of adult rowing programs at the Narragansett Boat Club, the oldest rowing club in America.
