Allyson Plantz

Allyson (they/them) returns (gleefully) to ONE|NB as the Associate Director of Resource Development as of August 2022. In their role, they assist ONE|NB’s Executive Director in raising the philanthropic funds needed to support the organization’s community-building and affordable housing developments. In addition to grant writing, their responsibilities include researching and identifying funding prospects, donor cultivation, relationship management, and coordinating internal resources to fulfill grant requirements. Allyson started in the environmental sector but switched to nonprofit work when they served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala from 2015-2017. Upon returning to the U.S., they worked as a program manager and chief of staff for ONE|NB for two years, and then moved to Tucson, AZ in 2019, where they now reside. From 2019-2022, Allyson served as a grant writer and associate director development for the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona and Springboard Collaborative, respectively. Allyson holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and art from Southwestern University (Georgetown, TX).
