On June 17, 2022, more than two dozen people joined ONE Neighborhood Builders for Fresh Friday, a monthly, virtual gathering for learning and sharing about community development. The discussion focused on Community Health Workers and health equity and explored ONE Neighborhood Builders’ Community Health Worker Registered Apprenticeship Program.
The Zoom panelists included Karen Zuniga, Assistant Director of Programs at ONE Neighborhood Builders; Brady Dunklee, Program Manager of Population Health at Integra Community Care Network; Marimir Lora, Community Health Worker Supervisor at Providence Community Health Center; Surbhi Sardana, Manager of Network Learning at NeighborWorks America.
The Fresh Friday sessions will be held on the third Friday of every month, with the next session being planned for July 15. Future topics will likely include a discussion on free community WiFi and modular construction techniques in affordable housing.
