This Sheridan Small Homes video will showcase at the Rhode Island Home Show, April 7-10.

Sheridan Small Homes was a pilot build in Olneyville, ONE|NB’s historic home, designed to demonstrate the long-term viability of zero net-energy affordable housing. A video about the development, and models created prior to its construction, will be available to view at the 72nd Rhode Island Home Show, April 7-10. (Look for the Rhode Island Realtors booth!)

The five homes, clustered on three quarters of an acre, are also Passive House certified. Our construction team ensured the homes met the Passive House standards by using appropriate insulation, efficient construction, energy-efficient windows, solar panels, and more. The electricity produced by the solar panels is sold back to the electric company to help offset the owners’ condominium fees.

The homes each have about 750 square feet of living space, with two bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Buyers of these affordable homes were required to earn 80% of the area median income. Home prices started around $140,000.

The homes were completed in the fall of 2021 and have all sold.
