On Dec. 2, 2022, ONE Neighborhood Builders held its Fresh Fridays event, a monthly, virtual gathering for learning and sharing about community development.
The discussion focused on Participatory Budgeting, a democratic process in which community members directly decide how to allocate resources. It’s a tool to enable everyone to make decisions about how funds should be distributed in our communities.
Community partners joined members of the ONE Neighborhood Builders team to discuss the Nine Neighborhood Fund, a participatory budgeting process underway in Central Providence, and other participatory budgeting initiatives.
