PROVIDENCE, RI – ONE Neighborhood Builders (ONE|NB), one of the state’s leading nonprofit affordable housing developers and community development corporations, is hosting a virtual event and panel discussion on factors that impact the cost of building affordable housing on Friday, April 5, at 8:45 a.m. The event is a part of ONE|NB’s Fresh Fridays series, a monthly gathering for practitioners, community members, and policymakers interested in community development.

Panelists will share examples of how these considerations have impacted their housing developments and discuss strategies to reduce costs.
Panelists include;
- Charlie Thomas-Davison, Director of Real Estate, Women’s Development Corporation
- Rebecca Schofield, Developer, Pennrose
- C. Eric Alexander, Director of Multifamily Programs, Tennessee Housing Development Agency
- Jennifer Hawkins, President & CEO, ONE Neighborhood Builders
“As housing development costs continue to rise, it is more necessary than ever to engage in creative conversations and share solutions to reduce costs,” said Jennifer Hawkins, CEO and President of ONE Neighborhood Builders. “I look forward to learning new insights on Friday with fellow housing leaders and stakeholders.”
The event is open to the public and will have live captioning available in several languages, including English and Spanish.
