  On March 23rd, ONE Neighborhood Builders, a Community Development Corporation based in Providence, held an Open House for the new Elmwood Financial Center at 770 Broad Street in Providence. After a soft opening on February 1, ONE|NB’s Elmwood Financial Center has hosted Homebuyer Education classes and counseling sessions, as well as walk-in clients looking for answers to financial questions. On Friday, December 1st. One Neighborhood Builders had Amherst Gardens Open House & Ribbon Cutting Event. Foreclosed and abandoned properties that had become magnets for criminal activity in Olneyville were targeted for inclusion in Amherst Gardens, ONE Neighborhood Builders’ newest development. ONE|NB purchased 13 distressed properties for Amherst Gardens, and they were “strategically selected” for their nuisance effect, high visibility, proximity to existing ONE|NB properties, and the positive impact their improvement would have on surrounding homes. Yesterday (6/13/2017) marked the groundbreaking of the 60 King Street redevelopment. The historic mill which was once the house of the Imperial Knife Company will be restored and rejuvenated into much-needed housing for the community. Read more here.
