Abadur Rahman is a Senior Community Development Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where he played a central role in launching the Wealth Solutions Accelerator — a cross-sector initiative to pilot and scale wealth-building solutions aimed at reducing the wealth gap in New England. Through multi-pronged strategic analysis that informed the Accelerator, he helped shape and operationalize key initiatives, including the Cash Catalyst (accelerated Baby Bonds) programs and state automated retirement savings initiatives. He also leads the Reinventing Work Initiative in partnership with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and Commonwealth Corporation, focusing on job redesign, improved working environments, and economic mobility.

With nearly two decades of experience in economic development, affordable housing, and community revitalization, Abadur previously served as Economic Development Director at Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation. His earlier roles include Rappaport Public Policy Fellow at the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, positions with the Boston Redevelopment Authority, and various policy and planning roles.

Abadur holds a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science from Northeastern University. He has completed advanced leadership training including the Next Generation Executive Program with The Partnership Inc. and the Essentials in Management Mini-MBA at Bentley University. An accomplished public speaker, he has presented at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Boston NAACP, and NeighborWorks America symposia. A resident of Brockton, Massachusetts, Abadur is deeply passionate about building pathways of opportunity where all people have the freedom and agency to shape their own destiny.
