Proposal to build up to 60 units of affordable apartments by renovating the existing Del Toro property and construction of a new structure. Located on Harris Ave in Providence Rhode Island, Del Toro will be a vibrant mixed-use property that will combine affordable housing with commercial space. Situated in an up-and-coming artisan community, Del Toro will help support and serve the local artists and creatives who contribute to the neighborhood’s unique cultural landscape. As part of this development, the Wilbury Theatre Group will establish a permanent home at Del Toro, serving as an anchor institution that draws in other local businesses and nonprofits focused on the arts. This will provide an essential access point for Providence residents to experience live performance art, while also supporting Wilbury’s expansion of its community-centered programming.
