IN PRE-DEVELOPMENT

Redevelopment of a 3-acre blighted and vacant property in East Providence into 160 new apartments and a 6,000-square foot early childhood learning center.

The apartments will be affordable for extremely low- to moderate-income households. About 40 percent will be “supportive” apartments — with social services provided by Foster Forward, Family Service of Rhode Island, and Crossroads RI — reserved for extremely low-income households (i.e., <30% area median income). About 60 percent will be affordable for households earning a low- to moderate-income (i.e., 60-120% area median income). Additionally, there will be ample community space and offices for service providers.
